Headings

H1 is for the title of the page or article. We assign this for you when the title is saved with the article in Kinja.

H2 is for subheadings. Use it to divide content into scannable blocks.

H3 is for subheadings of that H2.

Proper article structure:

  • helps over all readability that will benefit your readers
  • helps Google understand the main topics of a long post and makes it easier to crawl
  • helps avoid errors Facebook Instant Articles, Instant Articles only support <h1> and <h2>, this could mean that the article won’t render in the Instant Articles format.

h1: Alleged Sexual Predator Undeterred by Allegations of Sexual Misconduct Against Brett Kavanaugh

h2: Here’s all the shit we couldn’t cover today

h2: Here are some tweets the president was allowed to publish

h3: None
