You can add and manage users on the Members page. There are several levels of permissions on Kinja blogs.

  • Owner: this singular account has the ability to publish posts, add and remove authors, promote or demote any author to admin, edit all posts on the blog, recommend any post or media in a post to enlarge, manage blog assets (logo, avatar). The site’s Editor should own this role.
  • Admins: these accounts have the ability to publish posts, add or remove authors, edit all posts on the blog, recommend any post or media in a post to enlarge, manage blog assets (logo, avatar).
  • Authors: these accounts have the ability to publish posts and view (& edit*) all drafts on the blog.
  • Contributor: these accounts can publish posts but can only view their own drafts.
  • Freelancer: these accounts can save posts as drafts and view their own drafts.

Add a new member by entering their Kinja screen name. The new member will receive an invitation to join the blog in their notifications, which they must accept.
